Children’s Hunger Fund is working to support our church partners as they respond to the needs in their communities. In addition to equipping churches to meet the urgent needs of families facing devastating loss, we are developing
long-term plans to equip our partners with ongoing aid.

What your gift supports:
• Food Paks for families impacted by the fires and food insecurity (Those who lost homes & those who lost employment. Many lower-income families in the service industry had clients or businesses in the communities that burned and are now without work)
• Personal hygiene kits with essential items
• Distribution efforts to deliver supplies to our local church partners
• Partnership with local churches to address specific needs in their congregations and communities
• Future grant opportunities to assist churches and families with housing, rebuilding, and other urgent needs
As you give, please note that the impact of the fires extends beyond those whose homes have burned. For example, one pastor shared about a single mother who is now out of work and unable to feed her children because she was a housekeeper, and all her clients were in Palisades. She does not live in an area that burned, but her entire source of income is gone, and she must work to find new clients elsewhere, something that will take time.

Children’s Hunger Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) charity and all donations are tax-deductible. Financial donations made toward a particular crisis will be used for the relief efforts of the crisis until the need is filled. Once the need has been met, donated funds will be used in other emergency relief efforts.

VOLUNTEER: If you are in the Los Angeles area, come and help sort and distribute donations at our Sylmar facility. We are already receiving generous donations from our corporate partners and need your help preparing these items for families in need. Sign up here!
PRAYER: Please join us in praying for the safety of our neighbors in LA, the first responders and firefighters, and all those who have lost homes or loved ones.
INVOLVE YOUR CHURCH: Some of our amazing church partners have already mobilized to fill Food Paks or take a special offering for families in need.
